2013: The Big Year

So its that daunting time of the year, the last week of December. The week when your supposed to look back on your year, remember all that you have accomplished, everything you have achieved. A year ago I set out to make some goals for 2013 which I limited them down to two major ones; photograph 20 weddings, and to have 2000 fans on my Facebook fan page. I can say that I accomplished those goals and for that I am damn proud.

    In 2013
     I turned 22
-Photographed 23 weddings ( Yes ontop of working full-time, Craziness!)
-Photographed 47 Portrait Sessions
- Photographed 26 Engagement / Couples sessions

I got to travel all throughout New York state and see so much of this beautiful state
Wineries, Waterfalls, Lakes, Mountains, A vintage plane show, Old Forge on the peak weekend for the leaves, beautiful countrysides

I got to not only travel to my two favorite cities; New York City & Boston
I got to photograph engagement sessions in both which has always been a dream of mine

After working at home as a full time photographer for 10 months I grew stir crazy, and started working at a home daycare and instantly fell in love with the kids. I also learned how to efficently pottytrain, make the best play dough creatures, and change two diapers at the same time!

- I purchased all of the gear that I had been lusting over for a year
                ~ Canon 5DMarkII
                ~  Canon 50 1.4mmL
                ~ Canon 70-200mm 2.8L
                ~ Canon 24-70mm 2.8LII
                ~ Canon 600EX-RT Speedlight

And most importantly, after drooling over it for 6 years, I finally purchased my 27inch iMac
( I actually walked out of the store crying from complete joy, its my baby)

I got rid of everything toxic in my life that was holding me back, reconnected with old friends, and found myself. I also found someone who pushes me to be my best, what could be better than that?
I grew closer to my family, and most importantly realized how free I am.
I spent a full 2 months living off coffee, three hours of sleep, and photoshop and I survived!

I guess when you look back on all of it, so much can happen in a mere 365 Days if you just let it happen.

Anyways,  Heres a few of my favorite shots of this year
