Kevin + Andrea 5.10.13

Driving home from Kevin and Andrea's engagement session this past spring with tears in my eyes I felt overwhelmed with the love I felt between them. It was in that exact moment that I really believed that I was in the right profession, that I was put on earth to capture raw emotions and real love between two people. It was that moment that I knew that this wedding was going to be special, and on the big day it far exceed that.   I met Andrea and her mother Kathleen at the Shear Colour hair salon in Eldridge, NY. The talented Riki Lebied from the Syracuse Makeup Artistry met us there and did such an amazing job. We then headed over to the Lodge at Welch Allen in Skaneateles NY. The architecture, decoration, and windows at the lodge are any photographers dream. The forecast all week called for rain later in the evening, so I was very happy when they decided to do the "First Look." The rain held off and I was able to capture some intimate moments between the couple that just wouldn't have been possible if they went a more traditional route. Her mother had contacted me months ago giving me a heads up about fireworks she was planning on having set off for her daughter and new son in law. The DJ played "Firework" by Katy Perry and then she pointed outside and the fireworks started. It was such a beautiful wedding and im so glad that i was chosen to capture it.
