Kevin + Ashley 4.20.13
I met Kevin and Ashley last fall for their engagement session here at the lake. I instantly knew that me and Ashley "Clicked" and that we would work so good together. They have been together for 10 years and have a beautiful young son named Hunter who was equally excited for his parents to get married. We started off at 8am to shoot getting ready shots of the bride, her mom and all of the bridesmaids at the Color Me Red Salon in Cortland, NY. We then proceeded to the church in New Woodstock, NY where the girls were getting ready upstairs while Kevin and Hunter were getting ready downstairs. When it was time for Hunter to come down the isle with the rings he froze and started crying. It was so heart warming when Kevin went to get him mid aisle and bring him up next to him at the alter. After the ceremony they were greeted by their guests with a sparkler send off and then they jumped into the bright green tractor trailer( he owns his own logging company) We went to take some group shots at the park in Cazenovia and then at the golf course where their reception was held and it was so cold, luckily I had a few coats in my car. Ashley's father had passed and I loved how they incorporated him in the wedding. Her something blue was a heart shaped patch from one of his blue shirts. The most beautiful part was that her father loved snow and on their wedding day it started snowing ( yes at the end of April.) All of the details came together perfectly and I couldn't of imagined starting my second wedding season off with a wedding more sentimental and beautiful than theirs.
